“Russian Ex-Dominatrix Guilty of Poisoning Doppelgänger With Cheesecake” doesn’t even begin to describe the craziness of this stolen identity fraud case. On February 3, 2023, Viktoria Nasyrova was found guilty by a jury of trying to kill her stylist, Olga Tsvyk with cheesecake laced with a deadly sedative. After all, two women resembled each other, with dark hair and similar skin tones. And Nasyrova planned to steal Tsvyk’s identity after killing her.

Using the excuse of an emergency eyelash touch-up, Nasyrova brought a gift of the cheesecake. Nasyrova quickly ate two pieces herself then offered Tsvyk the third, which was laced with the powerful Russian tranquilizer Phenazepam. When Tsvyk passed out, Nasyrova then stole her friend’s passport, cash and other property but not before scattering Phenazepam pills around Tsvyk’s body to make it look like an attempted suicide.

Fortunately, Tsyvk survived. As did a few of Nasyrovas other victims! While Nasyrova attempted to murder Tsvyk in order to steal her identity, Nasyrova may have poisoned others for no good reason but that she enjoyed it. To support their assertion that Nasyrova was fond of poisoning her acquaintances, the prosecution called in as a witness Ruben Borukhov, 54, who testified that Nasryova drugged him during a date after eating some drug-laden fish Nasyrova prepared for him. The prosecution also called the daughter of Alla Alekseenko, the Russian woman whom Nasyrova is accused of murdering in 2014. By the time Russian authorities had charged her with that murder, Nasryrova had fled the country.

It seems that Nasyrova may actually just enjoy poisoning people, and stealing the identities is a perk? Either way, Queens Supreme Court Justice Kenneth Holder is set to sentence Nasyrova on March 21. I would recommend that she be placed in isolation. At least when she is eating.

A New York City former dominatrix who fed poisoned cheesecake to her lookalike friend in a plot to steal her identity was found guilty of attempted murder on Wednesday.

Russia-born Viktoria Nasyrova, 47, was convicted of trying to kill eyelash stylist Olga Tsvyk by serving her the spiked dessert. “She laced a slice of cheesecake with a deadly drug so she could steal her unsuspecting victim’s most valuable possession, her identity,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement Thursday. “Fortunately, her victim survived and the poison led right back to the culprit.”
