The latest LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Cybercrime Report dives into an analysis of transaction data from the LexisNexis® Digital Identity Network® during July – December 2021. The report reveals a substantial shift to mobile fraud over the last four years. Human initiated attacks rose for the first time since 2019, while automated bot attacks continue to increase.
As government agencies well know, the growth of online transactions fueled by the pandemic continues. And, as agencies keep adapting to pandemic-related changes, citizens keep transacting online, often bypassing traditional browser interactions and going straight to mobile apps.
The ever-present mobile digitalization means agencies must prioritize digital strategies to ensure a seamless online experience –advantageous for legitimate users, but potentially creating opportunities for fraudsters.
